Local Bands only- Apply Now

LOCAL BANDS ONLY– Preferably from Scunthorpe or close surrounding areas.

This application is open to BANDS only from Scunthorpe and Surrounding. Each year we like to select local talent to play Scunthorpe Pride. We’ve had September 6th, BUZZKILL JOY, The Last Hearts, Shoot The Messenger, DogDayAfternoon.

Our first event saw 3,000 people attended and overwhelmingly our 2nd year we hit over 10,000 visitors throughout the day (not all at one time).

Please only apply if you are a local musician or band. This is not for community groups or other types of acts to apply. We may not decide on a band until early next year as we like to come and see a gig and get a feel of what you’re about, whilst also supporting your music.

You must be available to perform on Saturday 23rd August 2025.

Why play Scunthorpe Pride?

It’s a large stage in Church Square, with a potentially large audience. We know for sure previous acts have gained new bookings from being spotted on our pride stage. We have quality sound and dedicated sound engineers.

You’re giving everyone a chance to see local live music for free.

You’ll get professional photos from our various photographers and may even feature in our highlights video.

You’ll get promoted on the run up to the event and appear on our social media and website plus printed posters and flyers.

We are all volunteers, none of us get paid to put this event on and it takes us a year between the 4 of us to plan every aspect and fund raise for the event. We love to bring the community together and showcase anything local. That is something we are passionate about.

Can I play again?

Bands that have played previously may reapply but as you can understand we must continue to bring new faces and sounds to the line up as much as we’d love to have you back we will be considering new bands but we may well look at re-booking for a 2nd year.

If we receive lots of applications we may look at hosting a Pride Bands Battle for the slot.
