This month our newest social group volunteer Lucy has organised a Saturday day time meet up at Cafe INDIE on Scunthorpe High Street. We aren’t sure what attendance will be or what main age group the new meet will bring but it’s open to everyone and families are welcome.

Cafe INDIE is an inclusive venue, cafe setting. The venue is open to the general public but if you are looking for the group and can’t see them just ask at the bar to point them out.

If the new meet is well attended we will evaluate the frequency of this social and the existing. Feedback showed people would like a Saturday meet and they’d also like it to be more central to town for ease of access. Please support Lucy as she is volunteering her time to run the social events as the Pride team are often unable to attend weekly due to other commitments and pride planning.

We welcome everyone so where as some groups are for certain groups of the LGBTQ+ community, we are for all. So no matter how you identify, you are welcome with us.

There is free weekend parking in the car park behind the venue and in other town centre car parks. If transgender members are worried about day time on the High Street and you wish to get changed at the venue to feel safer then feel free to bring a change of clothes and use the toilet facilities. The nearest bus stop is just round the corner across from the side of The Tavern. It’s also a short walk from the Bus station.
