Arc in Movement – Be Part of a Unique Creative Journey in North Lincolnshire – Join a National Film Project and Exhibition at 20-21 Visual Arts Centre
Be part of something new, inspiring, and unique for North Lincolnshire in 2025 – and help tell your story.
We are calling on families, friends, and community members to join an exciting new chapter of The Woman’s Movement 100, a national creative film project and exhibition coming to 20-21 Visual Arts Centre in Autumn 2025, before the exhibition embarks on a national tour.
This ambitious long-term project is the vision of Fred Garland of Tenfoot Dance Company, in collaboration with visual artists and academic researchers exploring female equality and emancipation. Following the success of the Hull chapter, Turning the Tide – which creatively explored the role of women in the renewable energy and offshore wind sector – North Lincolnshire now has the chance to take centre stage.
Our chapter Arc In Movement will shine a spotlight on North Lincolnshire’s unique landscape, community, and industries. Taking inspiration from Scunthorpe-made steel used in the iconic Humber Bridge, we will tell stories that look to a future shaped by allyship, action, and our shared environment.
Join Us – No Experience Necessary!
We’re looking for an intergenerational community cast for a mass movement project – everyone is welcome, all ages over 18, all genders and no previous experience is needed. Fred Garland and collaborating artists are committed to inclusive, accessible participation, offering a friendly and supportive environment where everyone can take part in a way that works for them.

A National Moment in History
The North Lincolnshire chapter will join creative contributions from Sheffield, Newcastle, Liverpool, Hull, and other regions in a national presentation in London in 2028 – marking 100 years since all women gained the right to vote in the UK. Together, these regional stories will form a powerful, unified creative response to this historic moment.
