Scunthorpe Pride is committed to creating an inclusive and accessible celebration for everyone, including disabled individuals and those with neurodivergent minds. The event features step-free access throughout, accessible toilets, quiet zone for sensory breaks and dedicated volunteers trained in disability awareness. We’ve worked closely with local advocacy groups to ensure the environment is welcoming and supportive. At Scunthorpe Pride, everyone deserves to feel safe, seen, and celebrated because Pride belongs to us all.
We know that some of you may find crowds and queuing particularly challenging.
A quieter entrance is available for those with accessibility needs, including non-visible disabilities.
So if a shorter queue and slightly earlier entry would help you (and your carer/s) then please use the HOME STREET disability friendly entry point.
Remember too, that throughout the event there’s a quiet space within the Scunthorpe Central Library and bean bags to relax on the grass in the main arena should you need to take time out from the bustle and excitement of the event.
The event is free to attend and most areas of the event are paved flat ground. There will be a disabled portaloo as usual and there are also disabled toilet facilities inside the Library and 20:21 Visual Arts Centre.
The North Lincs Council disabled changing facility should also be accessible during the event, this is based near the fairground rides up towards the library and is open to radar key holders.
Should you have any further questions please refer to our Q&A page.
If you do not require a quiet entrance for additional needs then please try to keep this entrance available to those who need it most.

Where is Home Street?
The car park for the Home Street entrance is just behind the North Lincolnshire Council and Ongo buildings. All North Lincs Council Car parks are Free on Saturdays and Sundays. You may be required to still enter your reg so please check at the pay point machine.
Directions to Home Street Car park here
If you are travelling via public transport the best entrance would be Carlton Street but this is one of the busier entrances. Please see the Getting to Pride page for directions.
