Attending a support group or social group can be beneficial to yours or someone else’s mental health. Just think, you pop along to a social or support group, make someone smile, have a conversation or just say Hi and it makes their day just that little bit more manageable or the week a little less lonely and lighter. So if you are thinking “That’s not for me, I don’t need to attend” ask yourself, can you help or support someone else?
Scunthorpe LGBTQ Society now known as registered charity Scunthorpe Pride– Please remember our inbox is always open, we can’t offer counselling or therapeutic support but we can point you in the right direction or just stick around for a chat. Almost one quarter of our regular congregation identify as LGBTQ+, with some members travelling from out of town for our services. At St George’s our emphasis is on love and acceptance of people – just as they are. LGBTQ+ Christians in Scunthorpe don’t need to travel to find a safe and welcoming church.
